I Won't be Upgrading but I'm TEMPTED...- OnePlus 13

Elijah has gotten rid of his folding phone and has been using a OnePlus 11 for a little while now, so when we go the new OnePlus 13, he knew he wanted to get his hands on it. With interesting changes to the software experience and a seemingly downgraded camera system, has OnePlus forgotten that they are the promised "Flagship killers"?

Those frame drops were definitely not subtle…

i think excusing every weakness as "most people won't care" "it's fine" isn't acceptable for a $1000 phone. Only budget and midrange phones should be allowed to use that trope.

According the OnePlus forums. They aware of the framedrop thing and its one of the major bug they are trying to fix. I hope patch will be out soon

For what it's worth to anyone reading this, the recent update seems to have fixed the frame drops in 4k 60 recording. Also the battery lasts me 2 days easily. Still expensive though.

Really dislike how they test phone cameras by taking videos and photos of the studio environment. Can we get any more representative photos, the kind more people will actually use.

Omg the video frame drops were absolutely abhorrent. How is that OK?? 9:30 even for casual videos!

@0:34 seconds in.
The OP 11 felt like a gloss plastic but it was actually a frosted, textured glass. Ask me how I know.
I've got super glue holding the shards together.

Shortcircuit reviews becoming a worse and worse way to get some tech info, it's so half assed

8:30 if I saw those frame drops on a 200$ phone I would be surprised and disappointed. This phone costs 4.5x more!

Those camera stutters while recording are abysmal, I would never want to record like that, even more so for family memories. I continue to see no reason to upgrade from my oneplus 8, phones just have not done anything that I care enough about to upgrade. The only exception being under-screen selfie cameras so I don't have to deal with the hole-punch design, but I'm not paying that much for such a minor annoyance.

Watching this on my OnePlus 7 Pro feeling like I'm still not missing anything other than 5G in 2025

This phone's biggest selling feature is its battery life, which you guys failed to test. If you're not able to properly test the phone in time, then delay the release of the video until that testing is properly done. Testing phones is much more important than testing PSUs.

Here is my OnePlus story. Had OnePlus 7 McLaren, lost it while snowboarding, so newest one was OnePlus10, got new job and as my work phone they got me OnePlus 12, since my work phone was better than my personal phone, noticeable difference, I got my self OnePlus 13 :)

2:58 Source? I haven't been able to see this feature mentioned anywhere, not even in the video you referred to?
