You can see right thru the speaker cover to the carpet in the Fender. Did someone steal both 12" speakers?

Very cool comparison like none other and shredding I must say!

I am partial to amps with a tube rectifier for that lazy sag and the twin has it. The solid-state rectifier (audio component) in the Mark IV is more immediate and tight which is cool in its own right but not for me personally. I use a Mesa Dual Rectifier in Tube Recto and Spongy (usually). Cool Vid man thanks.

I have to admit, the Fender acquitted itself quite well in every category. That said, the Mesa still crushes, even though I think you applied a bit too much highs or presence on the high gain section.

Appreciate the effort, but Camera mics are useless in making an audio judgement. They're fine if you're narrating or demoing control or other physical features but generally don't have the fidelity to be of any other use. Sorry. BTW> Liked your style. keep up the good work.

Not sure why you got many thumbs down... your playing is really top notch... i still like the fender the mesa is a bit too polish hifi sounding and well if you are playing this kind of blues, funk, rock andhard rock the fender sound is instantly recognisable... you dont really wana add a modern amp to a vintage amp and 70s music... your mesa is more suited to prog rock and types that like all the rich harmonics evenly blended to have that polish sound... fenders are always a bit edgy

Ah- I suspected that might be the case. No sense in filming video of the amps just sitting there! Thanks for the demo!

What’s. Is wrong ? Sounds is so Thin for Both Great Amps Didn’t you Mike it? or adjust the EQ for Both Amp

Why are people so negative??? I liked it, and it helped me make my mind up, I WANT a Mesa Boogie :) They are just shit expensive... On that point it would be cheaper to live in USA.... On the guitar amp side.... ^^ But they have NO human rights then, (Regarding to "The Patriot (Piracy) Act"). I'm not sure what I prefere :) Or actually I am..

Tone clean = Fender,
Tone High gain = Mesa boogie, but both are good

Fender twin was plugged in "mesa" cab with V30

Just it's a classical EQ settings ;) In this test EQ was off.
It's not a video, it's a foto with audio

U need a good distortion pedal for the twin to really push it

The gain on that Evil Twin sounds like garbage, but your playing is very cool.

theres no speakers in the fender twin, hows this fair?

The fender wins on clean, but my mesas clean sounds is way better than this, so with tweaking I'd choose mesa

The death of guitar is the Gain control
Old school recordings used Marshall Blues Breakers, Vox AC 15 & 30 or Fender Princeton, Deluxe or even champs so they could be cranked for the Natural breakup that the Gain nob is supposed to emulate.
The Twin Reverb does not have Gain
The Fender Bassman does not have Gain
The Marshall Plexi used by Hendrix and Clapton does not have gain

For comparison, I put the EQ in the same place, no EQ. Then, I think these are amps that don't really compare.

Regardless of whether the settings on these amps are 'optimal', you can clearly hear just how much more compressed the Mesa is. It always puts me off them despite them having a fun gain sound.
