My understanding of speaking in tongues is an earthly foreign language. Paul explains this in his Gospel in 1 Corinthians 14 4-5. When the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles in Acts, the scriptures quite clearly explain that they spoke in earthly foreign languages.

Watch the full segment they tested other people practicing their religious chants and prayers. The frontal lobe was active but not active with those Praying in tongues. Tongues is unique and they did this test with multiple people.

The way I understand in speaking tongue is a real language not a fake gibberish words.

That's beautiful! It's funny how the enemy likes to use science to disprove GOD and go against HIM. It's awesome that they're using science to prove he's real and not that true believers needed it. Science is basically the study of God's creation.

This is exactly the same phenomenon that Paul described internally in 1 Corinthians 14:14 " For if I pray in a tounge, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful."

The frontal lobe wasn't active because the person is not exerting any control to inhibit the gibberish.

The reason it went quiet was that he wasnt forming language. He was just making noise

I was raised in a a pentecostal church growing up and the praying in tongues sorta scared me. But last month I was in my recliner watching the chosen. During the scene where Jesus is talking to the cripple lowered down through the roof I just started to sob, my body went warm and tingly, then I felt light and began praise and spoke in tongues ....what an amazing spirit filled experience!

When he was praying in English, his language center lit up.
When he prayed in tongues his language center was dark.
Because it wasn't language, it was gibberish.
His deception center was blazing though.

I’ve been seeing videos like these pop up in my recommended for the past few days or so. Even though I haven’t received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and don’t speak in tongues, I wholeheartedly believe that this is another way God is showing people how He is the truth. I pray that there will be many more findings that convince people that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. 🙏❤️

The gift of tongues is the ability to speak in known languages for the purpose of spreading the gospel.

That's because he was not using language. It was just jiberish. Now, if it was a real language, that is a known language, like in the Bible, them you have something there.

my wife speaks in tongues ive been with her for 27 years and have never heard her. I believe she can but i dont believe anyone can interpet it but God 1 Corinthians 14: 2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. I have also noticed when I pray in English it's kinda hard to explain my feelings and I assume tongue helps with that
