One of my favorites student's family rented their beach house to Hanks during filming. She was a kid then and asked for an autograph. Tom said he would leave one "in the house." She searched for months before she finally got down on the floor and saw he had signed the underside of the kitchen table with a big, fat sharpie! 😂😂😂

This movie was such a huge part of my childhood. It was such a bonding experience for me and my grandparents. After we would watch this, they would recall so many of their own memories from the 50s, 60, and 70’s. I’m so thankful for those stories, no matter how tragic some were.
