When my significant other was a teenager, he apparently was so into kick boxing, that he took a broom stick to his shins like this to remove all feeling in them 🤦

As a massage therapist. . I can tell you. . Just find an orthopedic massage therapist and get that over with in a couple of sessions.

As someone who used to do track and field, even some of the tougher guys on the team would nearly scream if they had to do this.

Not the bone! It breaks up scar tissue adhesions and fascial restrictions.

Having had that done to me when I had a shoulder replacement, I can unequivocally tell you that that going down your shin bone would freaking kill! That is painful.

Fighters do this to toughen the bone, it works. After a while you don't feel it

This is actually a traditional way to condition the shins for kicks in Muay Thai and it does work. Just take it slowly until your tolerance increases

This is also the way to condition your shins in mma. Doing this enough kills your nerve endings making your shins impervious to pain, as well as toughening and strengthening the bone.

Certified, licensed individual is most likely performing that (Graston). It works. It’s done with care and planned out intention. When an athlete gets shin splints and has nothing else to fix them, you sometimes have to manually break up the adhesions in the tibial muscles.

Works the best out of all other treatments, you sit there for half an hour getting tortured but the result is magnificent
