Some people think so since we say it when cheering on our favorite soccer team. However, "forza" does translate more exactly to "power" or "strength" (force).

Downloaded and played the demo, and deided against buying due to boring gameplay mechanics which I thought were too easy. However when I played this at the Armageddon Expo in Auckland I completely changed my mind. The game is amazing and very much worth the buy.

just for the guys at ISR: the reason for the decreased number of cars is that they don't use the same models from Forza Motorsport. At least they're not a direct carry over between games.

I totally agree. Thats why I like Dirt 2 so much, the atmosphere feels like an event rather than just a hollow race.

"Simsnobs" LOL! Cool. Just FYI to all the would be complainers, this is not the next Forza SIM title. It's meant to be a more casual game. And it's a lot of fun.

As far as I know, there's like 120 right from the beginning, you unlock more as you progress through the races and there's 9 secret cars scattered throughout the whole map (the barn finds)

Hi Darin - you mentioned something about a special procedure for CSR wheels to work properly at 900 degrees in this Forza games - could you please clarify the exact steps as I've always struggled to get a good feeling from my CSR Elite in Forza 4 (and the brake pedal comes on full lock way too early - have the vibration set to 63). Just wanting to get a much better feel for Forza Horizon. I would've through having a Forza logo on the wheel it would work better...

@Ryzza5 make sure you turn on your X Box first, then the wheel. Dont start your xbox with the wheel.

have you tried disabling the hidden stm? it really does make a difference. Only way to do it is to put the global difficulty level on expert, and THEN choose the assists you want.

You mentioned in the video for fanatec not to boot up the game with the fanatec wheel. But then mentioned to set it to 900 on the wheel settings. So should i just set my profile before loading the game? Please clarify. Thanks.

For those who have played the Forza-series we are very well aware of the fact that you need 3 copies of every piece of hardware (except wheel) to play it with triple screen. Shaun and Darin are also aware of this and they have tested earlier Forza's with 3 of every thing. The problem is that, even though every Forza from 1 to 4 has the triple screen-code, Forza Horizon does not, so it has not the possibility to play it on a triple screen setup. I was hoping I was mistaken, but ... maybe as DLC?

Great review guys. Just one issue; you mentioned "the same quality of frame rate as Forza". But Horizon is 30fps compared to 60fps for regular Forza.

Not something that bothers me, but I know a lot of players prefer 60fps for racing games and I think maybe you should have highlighted this?

Glad to see you guys got copies ahead of release for review. I was going to review the Demo, but didn't see much point this close to release date. Forza Drift, i mean FM4 finally found a home and that's good. 4's physics actually work here and make for an entertaining experience. Best feature..you can turn the radio off. Worst, I agree the lack of physical damage. Is it worth the money? That's an individual decision. I'll pick it up when less then 35. Great job on the review. Thanks :)

As a dedicated GT5 fan who usually talks down about Forza because of it's driving realism compared to GT5, I must that Turn 10 really hit the nail on the head with this one. Even using a controller I found myself really enjoying this game. The Forza "feel" works extremely well with this style of NFS type gaming and it doesn't feel like a game for 10 year olds at the same time like NFS does. I'll definitely be picking up a copy
