Caitlin Clark is a phenomenal talent. She has exceptional Bball intelligence and unparalleled court vision. She is the Fever’s offensive floor General. She is the playmaker! Her passing is incredibly good & often jaw droppingly good! She is unselfish and a true team player…sometimes too much so. I think Sides coached hesitation into Clark. Regardless, Clark does what’s necessary for the TEAM! She also spent a lot of time investing in getting her teammates to trust her. Time well spent! She is showing real offensive leadership and her teammates are on board! In addition to all of that, Clark can make buckets from the post to the logo!

Clark is interested in playing Basketball. She is interested in promoting the WNBA and its players, coaches, history, present and future! Clark is interested in Women’s sports and promoting women’s sports. Clark is interested in kids and getting them involved in sports! She is an advocate, a mentor, and an ambassador for the game!

Because of her awesome talent, work ethic, competitive spirit, sense of humor and good character, Clark earned millions of fans and lucrative deals. Some of the W’s management, coaches, & players have resented this. I get players feeling jealous but the behavior of real adults and supposed professionals including corporate sports news is ridiculous!

The W is having its own struggle session between talent & merit and the “culture” they promote ad nauseam. They’re caught between a rock and a self created hard place. Sports isn’t about equity, DEI, critical theories, sociocultural trends, politics or a social media Barbie! Sports is about talent, skills, hard work, endurance, team play, character, and to some degree attitude & personality as they relate to how a player plays the game! Clark checks every box necessary to not only be in the league but to be dominant in the league as a rookie…and just as a professional athlete!

There is no comparison to Reese who hustles for rebounds and provides some decent D. It’s not an ROY competition. Clark has been ROY for awhile now, and if we are honest she was predictably ROY before she was even drafted!

The league & ESPN wokesters can pretend until the cows come home but Reese isn’t in Clark’s league, pun intended!
