I don’t know basketball but to my eyes the girl who got Caitlin was for zero reason. She didn’t have the ball, she wasn’t doing anything. The second time, the girls were fighting over the ball actively. That’s a huge difference to me. One looks like bullying and the other like rough contact during a scramble.

The difference is Caitlyn doesn't congratulate a teammate for knocking down an opponent, Caitlyn doesn't smash someone in the head while the excuse is being used that she was going for the ball, Caitlyn doesn't bitch in interviews about the refs being unfair to her, Caitlyn appears to be much more humble. Everyone knows that Reese getting clotheslined was completely uncalled for, but people are far less expressive about it because of her attitude and character on the court, and nearly every single black person commenting in social media threads having something negative to say about Caitlyn without any sensible basis for saying it doesn't help.
