Want your video to reach audiences in another language? Try adding subtitles to make it more accessible. This tutorial will show you how to easily and automatically bake subtitles into a video that you can export, share, and embed. You'll only need one software, so you don’t have to toggle between a translator and an editing tool. And you can manually adjust the language and timing of the translation. It's free to use, you just need an account with Kapwing.

HOW TO ADD FOREIGN SUBTITLES

1) Open the Kapwing subtitling tool (link above)
2) Upload or link to your video
3) Click "auto-generate"
4) Select the original language, check "translate," then chose the final language
5) Manually adjust the subtitles for timing and language
6) Click "create" when you're ready to export, share, or embed

Hiii i wanted to say a huge thank you for making kapwing! When i was starting out i had no money to buy or even download an editor so having a free online editor really changed and shaped my channel! I had a viral vid and loads of people what editor i used so thank you!

Having just now tried Kapwing's translator, I can truly say the original language of the video I intended to have translated made more sense than the translation... and I understand none of it. I've given it a go, and am disappointed with the result. Thank you all the same.

That gave the funniest translations I've ever seen! :) So I also got my dose of good mood while correcting it! :) Thank you for so many great tools

Thanks for your sharing. Besides, I.think Immersive Translate is also useful in translating video subtitles in real time. Maybe next time you can try to use it

This exact proccess could be done directly on one's YouTube account. Better to download the automated YouTube googled translation as .txt file, correct it on computer, then upload again, then (like in this software but manually much easier) correct the timing and synchronisation.

The auto generate doesn't work for me. I've tried it with several different types of videos but all I get in the end is nonsense. I'm saddened by that, I was going to teach this feature to my students in my digital media class but I can't if it is this inaccurate.

Sweet young lady: it works almost to perfection. The imperfection lies in the fact that the translation is not accurate and so it turns impractical. I made use of the video of you explaining the system and found several inaccuracies in the translation. Please understand that I don’t mean to be rude.
Now, if I could do the translation myself, could I upload it so that it is taken instead of the one generated by the system? I suspect the answer is no but it’s worth letting you know where there could be a possible solution.
What I always do is put my texts on the google translator and then do a thorough inspection for items such as idiomatic expressions, verb tenses, tense match, and others which have to be handled this way while the AI gets to a higher level than it is nowadays.
Please I need your feedback. Thank you for your attention.
