What's your favourite type of meat?

I've never understood why fish is not considered to be meat either. I'm living in Korea, and the word for fish in Korean is actually "water meat". And, yes, lamb is amazing. I love all the fat on it and the fact that the lamb I get still has marrow in the bones, which is delicious.

Thanks for mentioning the ruminant animal thing and the cellulose and hemicellulose conversion. People don't realize this, especially those disconnected from the ag industry. This was a great video.

I almost never leave comments online, but for you Kait I'll gladly leave some friendly words: you rock! :)

I grew up eating almost only chicken & tons of grains & processed snacks. My family thought this was the healthiest and/or most convenient. Man. I feel like I was targeted by the food industry as a child! By the time I hit my teen years I had so many digestion issues/pain and horrible acne from 12 yrs+. Then I thought the answer was veganism/vegetarianism... was hospitalized for blood sugar issues! Couldn’t handle it anymore after a year. I’m now 24, started eating red meat last year, have slowly learned more & more... and my skin is clear, I don’t get stomach aches everyday, & I am able to use the restroom everyday for the first time in 12 years. I wish everyone knew this info. Ugh. Love your channel!

Finally! A YouTuber that's not bad mouthing red meat. Thanks for taking away the guilt 😊

My family has been increasing our red meat and organ consumption over the last year. We still include some pasture raised pork and poultry, but the majority is red meat from grass finished cows. 💚

I always enjoy these types of videos. Could you do one on wild meat? I understand that most of your viewers probably are not hunters but they might find it interesting.

My health is fully back and I'm at the end of my journey. 😊It was a short journey consisting only of a mild b12 and omega 3 deficiency but I'm really grateful for my experience. I only went vegetarian for a week. I considered the lifestyle for months but only actually tried it for a week. So many people actually went months eating no meat and had to recover from it. I'm lucky.

I had a diet of mostly pizza, burgers, snacks etc and since I had a ton of energy and wasn't gaining weight I thought I was fine. Not so. Even with the heavily meat and cheese laden pizzas I was eating, it wasn't't nearly the amount of B12 I'd get from regularly eating steaks and liver like I used to.

I also know now that it is imperative that I continue to eat my salmon and tuna. I'm very grateful to have found what works for me so young. Thanks Kait for informing me of a lot that I didn't know and needed to know,
confirming what I already knew and being a voice of reason amongst the silliness. My journey ends here but I'll still pop in occasionally just because I like your vibe and I want to check up on you and drop a few comments. Bye!🤗

Very great informative video with proven facts of why meat is healthy. It is something that stands out from the many documentaries that only encourage a plant-based diet. I would have to say even though I don't eat it a lot my favorite meat is steak.

I totally agree with your choices based on education and personal experience! Beyond the PUFA's from pork and chicken, even though "pastured" they are still supplemented with corn and soy which many people are allergic to, autoimmune etc and pesticides, so I avoid them like the plague. Not even close to as nutrient dense and mineral balanced as the red ruminant meat. Thanks for getting the word out!

Very helpful video, growing up in the Midwest a lot of us don't think about lamb as much, but after heart surgery I'll be adding more to my diet, thanks Kait.

Great job Kait! I know a lot of people are afraid to eat meat for "health reasons" but that's really ironic because not eating meat deteriorates your health. Oh! By the way, I was ok when I took the extra doses of B12 and omega 3. I deleted the comment because it was an absolutely ridiculous and unhealthy risk and though it made me feel a LOT better, I didn't want to influence anyone else.

Just discovered your channel! Love the way you speak and you tell the truth! I may have gotten gout a week ago but I wasn’t diagnosed I just felt pain in my toe so I may be better off eating low purine foods.

Very good information! I think animal protein is superior when it comes to preventing sarcopenia, but eating to much protein is easy to. Igf1 is necesary for different processes in the body but can be bad if over consumed. My recomendation if you want to optimize youre health: make a constant glucose monitoring to see wich carbs are best for you, everyone spikes with different ones. I could have a problem with rice but be fine with ice cream ( consider you should earn youre carbs and not over do them ) if you want to know that you don’t overdo you’re protein get you’re nitrogen levels checked. Eat the meat you need and combine it with a variety of plants with it ( exception people with outoimune desease ) just play a little with it and find out what works for you. At the end we are all different 🤙 hope this comment helps someone. Keep up the good work kait ☺️

Every country has its own guidelines. American factory meat doesn’t have much zinc or omega 3 (not a favorable ratio anyway) The fat has a lot of pesticides too. Great list. I like goat and deer too.

Thanks for touching on this controversial subject. It took a lot for me just to switch from plant oils to butter. There is definitely an erroneous stigma against animal fats. I will try to find a good source of lamb 🙏 It’s been mainly beef and salmon lately for me
