It would be hilarious if the old lady was just sewing something, forgot she was holding a needle, and shook their hands. Then just thought it was too awkward and embarrassing to admit and just walked off.

I love how half of these are devastating tragedies with no known resolutions, and then there's just "So there's this artist who made a really cool sculpture as a toy for the CIA to have fun with and perfect their methods. Real nice guy, gave out a few clues along the way. :)"

I came home to the cops and fire department in my apartment once because they got a 911 hang-up call. Long story short, I had a cordless phone that was starting to go on the fritz and was randomly dialing numbers off and on. It eventually dialed 911 and since there was no one on the other end of the line when they answered - they sent EMS out for a wellness check.

The folks at the fire department asked if I had a cordless phone, and when I told them I did, they said that's happened to them a few times, and a cordless phone was the common denominator.

I've straight up never heard of some of these before, which is crazy because i'm pretty well versed in unsolved mysteries.

That one about the Caldwell Field Murders in particular really fucking bothered me for some reason. Poor kids.

This was already pointed out by MikadoYuma, but as someone who sews and embroiders, I really think the lady might've just been crafting and forgot she was holding a needle (been there done that lol.) Usually it does hurt when a needle pokes you, especially when it's deep, but not noticing at first can happen. Certain spots are more sensitive than others, and maybe the men were distracted by the conversation and movement on the bus. Good for them for getting the wounds checked right away, though.

I'm from Lincoln and have travelled by bus to both Skegness and Horncastle. Don't shake hands with any old people, check.

You should edit together all of the entries to this iceberg that are solved- maybe the first episode is all of the entries that were solved when you covered them and then follow up episodes discuss mysteries solved after you covered them? Even if it’s not a series I’d like to have all of the solved mysteries in one place!

There must be more to the old lady on the bus ouncture wound story. The fact that the cops jumped into action so quickly over something so small means there's more to the story. Very likely it wasn't the first case of this.

These are fascinating, and they tend to be mysteries I never heard of!

Creepy that the Myojo 56 Building Fire occured ten days before another building fire where those trapped inside would jump from the building.

Does "old lady pokes a guy" deserve to be on this iceberg?

I think he did mean occlusion. There is a thing in art called ambient occlusion-- and that essentially means 'any view of a scene some surfaces are hidden in part by nearer surfaces'. It is about making your art more three dimensional and often is speaking of the shading.
