I quite like how Capaldi stands there watching the regeneration's, in my opinion it helps him to come across as both a fan of the show, and also very professional. I'll be honest I'm not sold on series 8, there's something about it that's really putting me off, but Peter Capaldi looks like he'll be among the best Doctors.

For those who don't think it was a standing ovation it actually was. The video might only show a few standing up. But as someone who was there I can tell you roughly half the audience ended up standing up. The video just shows a few.

I can proudly say that at the 1:04 mark, that was when Capaldi spotted me in the crowd waving at him, and so he waved back at me. A simple gesture which has touched me for the rest of my life. Thank you, Doctor!

I've just been here! This was after the first episode aired and I have to say that he did deserve that standing ovation. And his entrance after Vale Decem with the montage of all the Doctors regenerating just gave me chills! He was a good guy and very good humoured. I hope they upload Jenna's entrance after the past Companions' montage! That one gave me all of the feels!

I love that they default to 10's regeneration music even though he's not the Doctor anymore. Murray Gold really nailed that sadness and epicness when the Doctor regenerates.
