I’ve cleaned all my consoles and provided them airflow and none of them gave me a problem. It’s simple clean and let it breath. It will have a long life and keep it stationary unless moving it to another permanent spot. Clean around it as well:

Cleaning dust out of anything with a fan or heatsink is regular maintenance and will help.

If you are reading this comment, clean your ps5 the right way. If you are just blowing air in there, sure some dust may come out but you are only pushing the dust further in the console. If you are experiencing it shutting down the best thing to do would to be take it apart to expose the heat sinks and clean them out. Also take off the fan and clean that off well. There are other channels that show how to clean it the right way. I would suggest not using canned air etc, unless you have it taken apart And can actually blow the dust out of the console.. if it is just light dust you can remove the covers and use a vacuum to suck the dust out of the “dust catcher” holes. Then Stick the vacuum inside where you can see the Heatsink and vacuum what you can carefully. Further take off the fan and vacuum/clean that off as well. This does not void your warranty. However if it is heavy dust enough to be shutting off the console your best bet is to tear the console apart for a thorough cleaning this will void warranty but if your console has collected this amount of dust you should probably be out of warranty anyways lol anyhow there is plenty of vids showing how to clean the ps5 the correct way otherwise you will just make the problem worse over time.
