Back in summer, we've discussed short and long term memory and we figured out that **to transfer information from your short-term memory to your long-term memory** you need to **rehearse the information** through a **rehearsal loop,** or maintenance rehearsal. If this doesn't happen, the data is lost from your short term memory.

HAVING THE INFORMATION DOES NOT HELP US WITH REMEMBERING THINGS BUT MAKES US THINK THAT WE KNOW

- You can only think that you know something if you are seeing the notes or a subject after a long time which means that you dont really remember it but you brain will think that you know it and have seen it but irl you dont really know anything unless you have learnt.
- You have to make effort if you are having no trouble for remembering something then you are doing it wrong
- Active learning is taking the information out of short term memory and then putting it in long term memory
- The better you practice the better you get into one topic of area
- Here are a few examples : Making a fake presentation of a topic or writing everything you remember about one topic, copy and cover
- But stop there if you think this is the best studying method this is not the best study method is what works or you
