98lpa is max and its mostly for abroad. Also salary at colleges include joining bonus and equity options so over inflated. Realistically you can expect an average of 7-8lpa as a fresher. This guy is ambitious, enthusiastic and positive. Wait till you graduate and enter the workforce. I was also like this 15 years back. The world would make you realise your college brand name and your marks/result doesn't matter. What matters is are you earning enough to support your family. I graduated in 2008 from SIT Tumkur, completed masters from UK, worked as a research assistant at Cambridge, worked in Switzerland & Singapore for short period of time and now works in Mumbai. My salary is 53lpa in 2024. So, don't get get swayed/sad by the highest pay of 84lpa. Patience & persistence is important. Its good to be confidence but over-confidence like this would do more harm than good. Play a long game, keep your head down work hard. Your salary in college placement doesn't define you, and after 1st job, none in the interviewes would ask you from which college you attended or what was your result. Good luck to all the students/youngsters in the comment section. One of my nephew is from RV and he is also like this, the fact is that RV is not special or the best college. RV is overhyped and is marketing gimic. IISc doesn't need RV, RV needs IISc. This guy is delusional.

98 lakh is marketting gimmick even rare from top IIT and IIM every year . What a bullshit, college collabrates with company and inflate numbers. In many cases company offers a placement clubbing 3 years salary package + bonus . Colleges don't clear that whether it is package for 1 year or 3 year . Because of such misinformation people leave there passion and things they are good at to take engineering or MBA .

It's a fact that RVCE gets the Cream of ComedK, so the recruiter are specifically told if they are going to Bangalore for recruitment then first prefer RV college then the rest. Also one more thing that works out for placement is there are less number of students than other colleges so the Recruiter are not over strained for the efforts the put in.
