I wonder how many hearts of this world will balance with the 🪶. That is a god that you need to respect if you believe in the after life. Great video again. 👍👍👍

Anubis' counterpart is Wepwawet, and is portrayed with white/greyish fur. According to historians, he is Anubis' brother. He helped the deceased through the frequently dangerous paths to the afterlife, clearing the way to the final judgment of the dead. Anput is the female counterpart of Anubis.

I do wish this was as long as some of the other videos. Good. Very good. But, several of the lesser known aspects were missed

So after Osiris's resurrection, Anubis did become like Hermes in Greek Mythology, a guide and guardian of the souls of the dead on their journey to the underworld. He was always a beneficial God never an evil one.

Excellent. I always wondered what the jackal head was about. Btw .. "American Gods" (based off of a book by the same name) is an amazing TV show for anyone who hasn't seen it. It does sadly end prematurely .. but it's still definitely worth a watch anyway imo! ☮

People misunderstand the Egyptian art. It is not what the ancient Egyptian people believed. And the tombs are not tombs. The tombs are a kings treasury with a maze leading to it with a scare crow mummy ancestor and his magical immortal corpse and some of the furniture, jewelry and gold he had with him. But in fact, the gold and jewelry are a safety deposit box for the descendants of the leader to access when needed through the maze for purposes of negotiation or funding for project building or making Anubis head masks for the police of these safety deposit boxes, and then creating a literally 2 faced myth to scare the mostly illiterate subjects of the king from trying to steal the gold. The predator headed people who are a tiny literate number of the population are camouflaging and hiding their treasure behind an elaborate deception. The priests tell the illiterates who are in awe of the skill of the artists, masks, statues and magical rituals the made up story if they don't kill or lie or steal from the pharaohs, they will go to a place where there is an endless variety of wheat products awaiting them which they will not have to toil in the fields to create like they do now every day of their lives with no relief save the entertainment of this art and ritual provided by the educated class. But the place where you don't have to toil nonstop to grow the wheat that is the main staple food of the population, is the pharaohs policed and guarded city in this world, it's self!

I noticed that you omitted the bit about Set casting His brother's member into the Nile where it was consumed by an oxyrhchus fish. Aset(Isis) had to be creative and fashioned Osir a replacement made of gold in some accounts, in order to make him whole for revival and to facilitate the conceiption Horus(Son of Isis).
