Talking about the weather is also a safe way of starting a conversation, especially with someone you don't know well, or a work colleague. I drink about three or four mugs of tea a day.

I don’t follow many people on YouTube especially your age but you’re exceptional. It’s obvious to me that you’re mature, intelligent & kind hearted. You have an admirable desire to learn & be informed. You & your family should be very proud. I see you going a long way. Best of luck at college. No you shouldn’t go bald! W

I think when it comes to the teeth that there is confusion between good teeth and straight teeth. As the video said we have pretty good teeth when it comes to the health of the, but I think we are less likely to have the straightened / have braces than in the US, unless they are really wonky. So we are less likely to have perfectly aligned teeth, but that doesn't mean they aren't healthy teeth :)

It's true about the unpredictable weather, I remember once I experienced rain, snow and then sun warm enough to wear a t-shirt within the space of a few hours.

He was pretty much spot on with the Yorkshire accent, "Put wood in't oil, waz th'a born in a barn." - Meaning shut the door, there's a draft.

I'm a simple defensive British girl. I see the teeth picture, I click. I swear we do not have bad teeth. I don't know where that stereotype came from but it's not true at all. I think because as a society America is obsessed with image, just because we don't spend hundreds of pounds to get the 'perfect' teeth, we've been labelled as having bad teeth. But it is not true at all. I love that our weather changes a lot too, I'd rather get used to different climates than have it hot every single day

I don't WANT to talk about the weather, it's just always there on the back burner to fill any awkward silences.

Great vid! Yes - the narrator doing English accents - hilarious! On a serious note - for example, even in London with it's Cockney accent, has many variations. East London Cockney is different from South London Cockney, and experts can even sometimes narrow an accent down to indivdual blocks within a given area in London.
Again - in Scotland there are many and varied accents. There is not just one 'Scottish' accent.
There may be a YouTube vid somewhere illustrating what I've commented. I'll let you know.
Meanwhile, I'm really enjoying your vids. Thank you.

Our teeth are generally well looked after because of our old friend the NHS. Those of us not on a selection of state benefits have to pay a small amount towards our treatment up to about £200ish for big treatments. Just because our teeth may not be dead straight or gleaming white it doesn’t mean they are not healthy. I’m someone that doesn’t like tea or coffee at all but most adults will drink a few cups each day.

They’re called Greasy Spoons not Greasy Cafes. Despite the name you can get some of the best cooked (usually fried) food for not much money. Nothing better than a full English with a mug or two of builders tea to start the day. If you haven’t got the time to eat in get yourself a bacon butty to take away 😋

The UK has great food, but it's not fancy, people seem to rate food based on it being fancy enough. You have a Sunday Roast in the UK and you will be well fed.

The food thing is generally not, fast food in America is cheaper than real food, in the UK real food is cheaper than fast food, Tesco value foods are cheaper because they do away with all the fancy packaging but are really good quality, the bad or bland food idea dates back to the second world war when we were on rationing and American troops came over here and didn't like the food,

We get free dentistry in the UK so no excuse for bad teeth. I drink around 8 - cups of tea per day. I like mine strong with oat milk.
The weather is very good here in the southeast of England where it doesn't rain very much. I have been on the Brighton beach sunbathing in October. But I have also known it to snow and be very warm and sunny on the same day.
I am from South London and we have a different accent from North, East and West London. The BBC has all different accents even strong Jamaican accents.
Most people like the Queen. Some people would prefer to have a republic but the Royal family is liked here. I have been all over Asia, Europe and the Caribbean and our British food is good we do eat more than just roast beef and fry ups.

For the weather, this is 100% true !!!! I’m a truck driver/heavy plant operator, and we have to have full PPE with us at all times, boots, high viz hoodies, t-shirts, trousers blah blah blah, and trying to guess what to put on before you start working with your clients for the day is almost impossible !!!! You get to site at 8am, it’s cold, and over cast, come mid day, you’ve sweat enough to fill an Olympic size swimming pool, then at 2pm, it’s like someone is spraying you with a jet wash, and there isn’t a single spot on your body that isn’t utterly soaked…..
so, yeah, talking about the weather for us is the same as saying “what do you want for breakfast”…. It’s just one of those things 😂😂

I'm a coffee drinker and can't remember the last time I had tea. No one I know has bad teeth. Yes, it seems we Brits do talk a lot about the weather.
