Now, if you have 50/50 physical custody, that would mean that you are receiving a childcare credit for your time, which will greatly reduce the amount of child support paid even if you make more money than she does.

But if both people have 50/50 physical custody, then the calculation for child support will also include determination of their incomes, and both parent’s incomes will determine what the child support number is or should be.

If both parents are receiving 50/50 physical custody of their child and both parents make the same amount of money on a monthly basis, but the mother has residential custody for mailing and school purposes (custodial parent), then how would the child support be determined in that scenario? 50/50 is uncomfortable for the child moving in back and forth.

I have a question. My daughter was removed from her mother last July. It is now June of the following year. My daughter has been in my possession the whole time. I agreed in court to give my daughter's mother time to get her stuff together and to try to get her daughter back. It's not going to happen. I've been paying child support this entire time. The first 8 months, my daughter's mother spent it on herself. She barely seen her daughter and spent next to nothing dutlring that 8 months. Now, my money is going elsewhere and nobody told me where. In UK its more simple

50/50 =No child maintenance

Only 1 parent can claim Child benefit tho
