People always assume that any life we encounter would be somewhere near us in their evolutionary journey and the chances of that are simply astronomical, near impossible. Maybe they’re advanced but more likely, they’re not.

Sometimes I wonder if humans are just anomalies. Life outside earth does exist, but so far it is just germ-like microbes. We have observed "goldilocks" planets, however they are so far away we cannot accurately see what's under their atmospheric surfaces. What happened during Earth's formation allowed organisms to evolve at a "rapid" pace, whereas it seems other planets are stuck at square 1.

Honestly, it's rather arrogant to think we're the only one out here. And that someone might not be more evolved.
It also seems rather arrogant to think, that life other places might not be different, just because some conditions here was needed... We don't know everything.
And I'm absolutely sure that other lifeforms knows about us, and avoids us with good reason. I wouldn't contact us either, lol.
