What you get in hand after all deductions is the actual math for your every month's expenses and happiness and the kind of cities you live in and the kind of struggle you taking will definitely make you think twice.
And person earning 20 lakh and person earning 40 lakh doesn't have a very big gap when it comes to monthly in hand salary.
Plus the more CTC you have the more you are at risk for getting laid of for sure. And next job won't give you the same amount suddenly.
