Want to improve your cheer jumps ASAP?? Here's the real-time version of my toe touch warm-up/workout! This routine was included in my recent video, "how to get hyper-extended toe touches in a week"- it will be linked below because I'd recommend watching that video first & this one second! With consistent daily practice you can easily get high, hyper-extended jumps during quarantine :) feel free to comment requests for future videos if you enjoyed this one!

**lil disclaimer: I'm not a coach or a trained cheerleader, I'm a dancer beginning cheer at my college in the fall! My warmup & jumps workout is comprised of stretches and drills I've learned in dance training, I found that they can be very helpful in improving cheer skills too. I have been doing cheer for 7 years now and just finally got the toe touch! At first it was hard but in less than a week you will have really good toe touches! THANK YOU SO MUCH

I got cheer tryouts may 10-13th. Im a freshman and haven't done cheer since I was 6. I hope I get on the team. Wish me luck y'all, thanks. I will update the results. P.S. if u got any advice please tell me. Thank you
Update: ok so guys I didn't make it. But I'm ok with that. I feel like next year I will make it because of what I now know. If your thinking about trying out for cheerleading, I'll say go for it. It's a amazing experience. Plus it's ok if you don't make it at first. Use what you learned for the next time you tryout.☺

tip for anyone struggling

for the longest time i wondered why i couldn't do my toe touch, i had been working on it for so long.

who knew it was because of one little mistake?
my knees were pointed/facing forward, when they should've been pointed toward the ceiling. you legs cant go that high when facing forward.

I am the co-captain of my cheer squad this year, and i am really hoping to get my toe touches better because i am going to have to be in the very front, and set an example for the younger and older girls, so i am really excited to get started on this and hopefully have a good toe touch by meet the eagles or hopefully even cheer camp this year! ❤️

tryouts are april 21-22 i’m doing these 5 days a week for a month. (i have dance on the other 2 days). i’ll tell you guys if i make it!!!! hopefully i do😁

Tryouts are tomorrow but, we learned hurdlers and toe touches today. I’ve learned more from you than I did at practice today. Thank youuu! I really hope and have faith in God that i’ll make the team!!!

tomorrow I'm gonna start doing this everyday for a week to see how much I improve🤞🤞🤞
Day 1: ✅️ maybe saw a little improvement but not much. I love this routine thoo
Day 2: ✅️ my legs have to get use to the routine, so no improvement because they are sore. still fully did the routine tho!
Day 3: ✅️My legs were a little sore today but not as bad. The routine is getting slightly easier, and I feel it working. I saw a little bit of improvement in my toe touch
Day 4: ✅️ my legs weren't sore today, so after I did the routine I saw a little more improvement! Hopefully I won't be sore anymore so over the next 3 days I see more improvement
Day 5: ✅️ one problem I have is my right leg goes higher than my left leg so I have to work on that, but I see improvement!
Day 6: ✅️ hip cramps on the leg circles hurt today lol. But I finished the routine and my toe touch has definitely improved
Day 7:✅️ the week is over!! I definitely saw improvement today. Over the week I have seen improvement. However. I have been doing my jumps on plain floor in my house, i just have my yoga mat over my hardwood floor lmao. I think I am going to a cheer gym later this week, where there is a spring floor so I'll see how they look on there! I will be continuing this routine for another week, I'll update on day 14, not everyday though!!

i have tryouts on may 19-21 and i just found out and i was a level 8 gymnast but never did cheer i hope i’ll make the team !! i’ll update when i find out !
