One quick note I wanted to make. The eye cover I mentioned is actually a cover for the front of the headset 🤣. Who would have guessed. Not something I would use 😅

I like that they removed the battery from the front of the headset and moved it to the back of the head. Helps balance out the weight. I like that the IDP has moved back to non-stepped (?) like it was on the Quest v1. The rest of the features are likely where the extra thousand dollars goes, so I'm not hopeful they'll make it into the Quest 3.

Curious to see what they transition from Quest Pro to the Quest 3 next year.. Also Curious how much better the Performance is.. The Performance from Quest 1 to the Quest 2 was pretty big jump

You could buy a Quest 2 and build a good pc to run it on for the same price as this thing.

I think the ability for your avatar to mimic facial expressions is a real game changer. It’s a pity it’s only visible pro to pro and not for Quest 2 avatars. Hopefully this feature makes it to Q3

Been playing with the Pro for a few hours and I gotta say I’ve changed my mind and I’m thinking of keeping it. Wish it was higher resolution but even not being..the optics are so much clearer larger and better in every way it is a decent upgrade if you are a VR enthusiast who can justify the price. It’s a very nice piece of hardware!!

I used it recently, but definitely not worth upgrading if you have the quest 2. I did like the way it fits on the head and the camera sensors, but not much other than that.

Dude… just got to say thank you. I’m a college student who’s far from home and who’s struggling a bit. I’m a Christian who’s in a very dark place, being on a college campus and am feeling like an outcast for my beliefs, lost some friends cause of it. I got on YouTube today to distract myself and ran into your video. Never seen your content before and can probably never be in a financial place where any of this information can be a useful to me😂 but saw that you threw up a verse from 1 Timothy. What a beautiful verse. That’s exactly what I needed. So thank you for that.

I may be the only person who likes the AA battery in the controllers. Always quick to change out and no concerns with battery degradation over time. Hope the Quest 3 comes out soon.

My wishlist for Quest 3:

1. Smooth IDP sliding instead of stepped
2. Battery on the back as well as having the weight rest on your forehead
3. Of course, higher performance and visual quality
4. I doubt we’ll get these at an affordable price, but face and eye tracking would be nice. Not essential though

Excited for the face tracking, as long as it's able to be accessed from the PC for vrchat and rec room. And of course I want those controllers for my Quest 2

As someone who still uses the old Quest 1, I am really considering just straight upgrading to this instead of a Quest 2 because of the comfort and quality jump that it seems like that would have. The different design, thinner front part (definitely would be appreciated over the 5 point brick of the quest 1 lol) and weight balance due to the battery being on the back are definitely making me consider.
