I got my zz as a birthday gift a year ago from a friend. I thought seeing as our birthdays are two days apart, I would take the quite large plant and put it in a slightly bigger pot, take one of the stems~ off and gift it to her in a small pot as a sort of return gift as she initially almost kept the plant for herself. The soil I put in the larger pot was too wet and caused root rot in mine. I have worked to rid the plant of disease and repot it in better soil and have also made cuttings from some of the healthy plants and will join them all together once they have roots

If you drink from water bottles, remember to shake the last bits out over your plants. They love it as it simulates a quick drizzle in the jungle!

I'd like to ask you a question if you will? I bought two planters, they're probably about a foot and a half around the top. I wasn't measuring right that night or something. But I want to put them on each side of the patio door, inside only. And I want something that'll get to maybe three or four feet? And grow really fast? Thank you in advance, Kathee

Overall, my ZZ looks healthy, but there is a thick brown crust on the base of some leaves where they join the stem. Is this a disease? Can I email a photo?

After rooting would the leaves come from the top of the cutting or a new stem/branch would grow first? Why because, roots have started growing in my cutting but the leaves look a bit dry.
