its not called advantage. they are attacks of opportunity. advantage is rolling 2 dice for something and taking the highest.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:

00:14 🌀 Charm ability prevents enemies from attacking you until their next turn, useful against enemies with multiple attacks.
01:38 🌟 Favorable Beginnings grants a proficiency bonus to your first attack roll or ability check against a target.
03:16 ⚡ Psionic Backlash inflicts damage on spellcasting enemies, potentially breaking their concentration.
05:04 🎭 Stage Fright AOE spell imposes disadvantage on enemy attack rolls and deals psychic damage on misses.
06:11 🌌 Psionic Dominance acts as an instant counter spell for low-level spells, using your reaction.
07:19 🌀 Black Hole ability creates an area of gravity, pulling enemies together for easier AOE attacks.
08:49 🐾 Displacer Beast shape grants an alternate health pool and powerful attack options.
13:15 🔮 Precast ability currently bugged, but allows casting spells and using abilities for free.
15:31 🌟 Free Cast enables casting spells without spending resources, potentially leading to game-breaking combos.

My favourite is definitely Cull the Weak.

At its best, anyone you get to 25hp dies and damages their allies. That’s OP. Essentially everyone is 25hp less.

If you go through part of the githyanki story line, there is a part where if you make the right choices, you gain the ability to use illithid powers with a bonus action. A *pure*ly delightful upgrade.

In the Githyanki Creche, when you use the machine (either your main character or lae'zel), your main character can make an attempt to absorb the power of the machine and gain a permanent buff that allows you to use illithid powers as bonus actions. I believe you can only get this on your main character though.

Concentrating blast is a secret weapon for anyone who gets the illithid powerup that turns actions into bonus action moves.
You can have a until long rest ritual spell active, like detect thoughts on. Then when you start a fight, on your first round you can have ur main action for an attack then a bonus action concentrated blast for 3-36 dmg and a heal if used on a concentrating enemy.

The shield spell is almost always a better reaction than the charm

I am surprised you didn’t include fly here. Because, especially for a warrior type or a rogue type, fly is way op. Basically the ability to go anywhere on the battlefield.

Also surprised you didn’t include the one (can’t remember it’s name) where if you damage an opponent, and it’s hit points are below the number of illithid powers that you have, then it dies and explodes with psychic damage around it. (Early on, this isn’t great, but end game, it’s awesome). I have aoe’d a group of enemies with my wizard, then hit one of them with my bard, which then started a chain reaction and killed the entire group. (I guess it’s situational, but the amount on uses I saw with my bard was amazing)

You didnt put the best one? If you reduce your target's HP lower than the number of illithid powers you have, the target dies immediately, late game you have like 15+, no more low hp enemies....

mind blast is insane
huge AOE and range
high chance to stun
decent damage

I believe Psionic Dominance has one use per long rest, not once per round

You keep saying advantage attack and I don’t think that means what you think it means. Regardless, Charm blows (there are way better reactions to be using). The best abilities is the guaranteed crit. one and the explode when low on health one.

The bug with the freecast ability is supposedly fixed with today's patch. Also it might be of note that succeeding a difficult skill check at the creche allows for the illithid powers to be used as bonus actions.

The fly ability is about the only one I use often.

Culling the Weak + Psionic Backlash when going full worm is really good, since you fairly often get the cast beyond the excecute range. Culling the Weak is generally really good with AoE spells since something always lives with low hp.

Should probably mention that you can get wormpowers to be Bonus Actions instead of actions if you go to the Gith Temple in Act 1.5

I do not see any situation where you would use your reaction to cast Charm over Psionic Backlash.

Forget the name of it, but an inner ability makes a target heal more but also take more damage... it's vulnerability to all damage.. twice of everything, and you can cast it on enemies. Coupled with the guaranteed crit power this means quad damage... paladins everywhere find their armour uncomfortably tight in the crotch. Also very, very few targets can ever actually heal so there's almost no downside to ever putting this on an enemy and makes more sense to do this than using it on allies

General rule of thumb: Take Passive powers before Active powers. Giving up an action in combat for many of these inner ring powers(Psionic Overload, Force Tunnel, Repulsor, Concentrated Blast, Transfuse Health) is not an efficient use of the action economy. The exception to this rule is the passive power 'Displace', which is mostly useless except in rare circumstances.
Good active powers in the inner rings are Stage Fright(AoE Disadvantage & dam), Perilous Stakes(great against bosses), Shield of Thralls(lasts until long rest).
EDIT: In response to a comment below I posted this:
My selction preference order is:
1) 2-1 Favorable Beginnings(S)
2) 2-2 Luck of the Far Realms(S)
3) 3-2 Charm(A) [front-liners who want to hold aggro should not use this for a Reaction]
4) 10-1Transfuse Health(B) [only usefull for characters with a big health pool]
5) 10-2 Perilous Stakes(S)
6) 8-1Concentrated Blast(C) [active power that you won't use often]
7) 7-2 Cull the Weak(S)
8) 8-2 Psionic Backlash(A)
9) 1-1Psionic Overload(A) [active power that is godlike if you have multiple attacks per turn]
10) 1-2 Ability Drain(A)
11) 9-2 Shield of Thralls(A)
12) 11-2 Stage Fright(A)
13) 4-1Force Tunnel(B) [only usefull for Tanks]
14) 5-2Replusor(B) [highly situational, not that useful]
15) 4-2Displace(D) [highly situational, not that useful]
NOTE: The #-# notation refers to the clock position(1 to 11) & ring postition(1-inner ring, 2-middle ring) the perk is located on the brain power-tree.
