There's alot of amazing movie scores that came from the 80s and I think this one doesn't get enough credit. It's freaking good.

This following and/or combined with Dawn’s theme would be masterful.

I respect "Night" and I LOVE "Dawn" but damn, there's just something that I love about "Day" that's missing in the first two films. I've always said, Day of the Dead is actually my favorite zombie flick, even if Dawn of the Dead has more cultural impact.

I worship George A. Romero, but as much as I love “Dawn of the Dead” (trust me, it is one of the best - if not THE best - zombie movies ever made) and as terrifying as the original “Night of the Living Dead” classic is, I think “Day of the Dead” is my personal favorite, taking into consideration that it is the one I watched the most and also has the best script. As much as we all adore some action-oriented zombie flick, I think it is so refreshing to watch a more cerebral horror movie, with great dialogue and characters. I think that that was the main reason why this movie flopped at the box office, it was just too intelectual for the regular audiences that were looking for some cheap scares and nothing more. The trailers and advertising for “Day” were so misleading, and, with such a dark tone, it could not compete with more “entertaining” zombie movies of the time like “The Return of the Living Dead” and “Re-Animator” (both fantastic in their own respective ways). And by the way, Bub rules !

Can we throw a shout out to John Harrison? The brilliant man who composed this weirdly hypnotic theme

Day of the dead is my favorite. I know in the beginning when the film was first released alot of people didn't like it because it wasn't as big as dawn of the dead. However that's what I like about day. George A Romero is the Godfather of all zombies

You know a film score is good if they can use one song for whole movie and still make it sound so interesting and varied. Best film of all time!
