So if one crown doesn’t work, and two crowns doesn’t work, and three crowns doesn’t work, surely four crowns will

Fun fact: 99% of alt history writers are just 1 crown away from saving Austria-Hungary from collapsing

9:11 This is really interesting as technically before the Great War, Austria-Hungary was the second largest country inhabited by Slavs, after Russia. The total Slavic population of Austria-Hungary was larger than that of Bulgaria, which is fascinating to consider. I, like many other people, often forget how Slavic Austria-Hungary actually was. Even Germany had a larger total Slavic population than let's say Serbia

Obviously the plan wasn't followed through, every single man, woman, children, cat and dog should've been an indipendent crown

What if every country was a Habsburg crown

Achieve the Danubian Federation a few years before WW1.

Difficulty: Impossible, with every nationality in Austria-Hungary bickering and arguing with each other.

I've got an interesting proposal which is 'what if the Habsburgs accepted the fall of the Empire' basically what if one of the Emperors (say Karl I who was made a saint for his commitment to peace) decided that collapse was inevitable and negotiated a peaceful dissolution aiming to prevent ethnic conflicts or wars within the old empires borders (and presumably allowing the Habsburgs to cling onto some form of power in perhaps just in Austria proper).

A better title would be. "What if everything went perfect for the hasburgs." (There is no saving them.)

Why all alt-his channels seem to almost ignore Czechia in this theme, it was richest and most industrialized part of the empire, also during this time, it was going thru 'national revival' everyone there was highly nationalist and wanted their own crown at least.

Asking for " what if everything went horrible for everyone after WW1 "

What if all countries in WW1 went down the worst possible route post WW1

A similar state to the loved hypothetical "Danubian Confederation" already existed twice. First, as the Kingdom of Aragon. There were the crowns of Aragon, Catalonia, the Balearics, Sardinia, Naples, Sicily and briefly even a few others in France and Greece, united under the Aragonese. All those crowns had considerable autonomy and freedom, and while it was all well and good, it also made it super easy for the country to be split up amongst heirs if a dispute was to come up, thus compromising the unity and integrity of the Aragonese Kingdom (like what happened when Naples was briefly freed from the Aragonese realm). It happened again with de Trastamara and Hapsburg monarchies of Spain, where we had the crowns of Castile and Leon, Aragon, Sardinia, Sicily, Naples, Flanders, Franc Comté and at different points in time even Portugal, Bohemia and Austria. This had the same problem as Aragon, as well ss the fact that, while Aragon, not being that much powerful compared to the other crowns in its realm, could not afford to compromise their autonomy and authority, here Castile and Leon would be by far the richest and strongest crown, which lead them to gradually reduce the autonomy and authority of the other crowns in the Spanish realm until we get to the Bourbons who centralised the kingdom. So, these governments can work, but the crowns have to be balanced, and the country will likely not stay united for long.
