Windows Vista received a lot of hate during its lifetime. But was Windows Vista really that bad? I answer that in this video.

my first ever computer ran Windows Vista which I used till 2017. It is still my favourite

Vista was ahead of it's time. After SP1 and especially SP2, as long as you had modern hardware, it was basically Windows 7. In the beginning though it was a rough transition because most PCs sold in late 2006/early 2007 just didn't have the umph to run it. Also a factor was the bundled software many PCs came with at the time.

It’s a transitional OS. Moving from 32bit to 64bit was the main issue. In 2007 you didn’t need more than 4gb ram and XP was just faster as a 32 bit OS.

If you had decent hardware from 2006 or later, Vista was a decent OS. I was only 11 at the time, but even so remember being impressed by it when I was given a laptop upgrade in spring 2009. Such a jump up from XP, even with skins or the (frankly quite nice) Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 theme I would've been using at the time. Granted, that was later on in Vista's life, and when 7 came to stores in October of that year I made the jump. Still have the Windows 7 box and disks somewhere.

Been a Mac user for five years now and have only used Windows 10 on my own computer in a VM, but looking back at Windows XP, Vista and 7 still makes me feel nostalgic.

When I heard that Microsoft was going to release vista, I was so excited. I got it as a gift and I loved it. It was amazing, I don't know why people gave vista such a hard time. It was beautiful and innovative. I never hated it

I have fond memories of Vista. Maybe just because it was a part of my childhood during my last few years if primary school. Oh, and it looked absolutely stunning.

Windows Vista was unfairly judged. I love it and use it to this day on my 9+ year old laptop. In fact, I have my eye on another new laptop that is the same as my 2008 laptop.

I did the "Mojave" experience with my brother and proved that it really is true because my brother was serious about Windows Vista and after using the system he spent 3 years using Vista and even today he says he really liked the system

Problems with Windows Vista included the annoying UAC would pop up everytime you tried to do something, the Aero Glass required heavy graphics so it didn't work on older PCs, Libraries feature was incomplete and so was Game Explorer which didn't work. Many graphic cards, sound cards, printers and scanners needed new drivers to work on Vista. Later Service Packs fixed the UAC and then Windows 7 fixed problems of Vista. Windows 7 is what Vista should have been

We never used Vista in my office. We upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 in 2014 (when XP support ended)

I used vista from 2008 to 2015 it was my first OS on my very own first laptop purchased in March 2008. Its only after 2015 I switched to windows 7

1:08 guess what took me right the way back to 2007-2009 (I wasn’t alive in 2007 although I like vista cuz no one will stop me) I grew up with 7 however which is just as awesome as Vista is and always will be.

I've Just bought and installed Vista Business and use it on VMware complete with SP2, had used it a few years back on a IBM thinkpad laptop. I just love the UI that you simply don't get on 8, 8.1 or 10 and brings back some fond memories of the XP/Vista days, nowadays it's Linux for me although I have win7 on my Acer AIO. Nice Video ;0)
