The series finale for Star Wars The Bad Batch is here. And the final shot with the Imperial Star Destroyer coming into view, was more important than you might think.

It was such a close call when the Bad Batch and the remaining Clones narrowly escaped Tarkin

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how incredible that star destroyer looks? It looks like it came straight from rogue one

Now we know when the imperial star destroyers first debuted canon wise

Definitely a dream team. A single ISD flanked by two venators.

What I also liked was that the Imperial star destroyer was accompanied by two Venetor clone-wars Star Destroyers. I guess this shows the beginning of the transition from the Clone Wars to the Empire era in full effect. Ships are being phased out.

When every Star Wars series ends I just sit there and stare at the wall not knowing whether I’m happy or sad

I lost it. An Imperial class Star Destroyer flanked by two Venators. HOLY SHIT!

Star Wars Fandom 101, the Venator alongside an Imperial class, the greatest formation ever

If I had to guess, they used the model from Rogue One and 'cartooned' it. Which honestly, the models shown in later seasons of TCW and Bad Batch don't even look like a cartoon to me anymore really.

We were so close to getting an on-screen Victory-class Star Destroyer appearance, we were _this_ close...

I loved seeing the Imperial 1 at the end

I just thought of something. In this final episode, Tarkin diverts the funding for Project Necromancer to the Death Star and Palpatine in a previous episode said project Necromancer was vital to the future of the empire.

So with that in mind, does anyone else think this means that Tarkin is actually making subtle moves against the Emperor by unilaterally diverting funding to his own project?

Idk why Disney didn’t use this animation for Rebels. This animation is 1000x times better than the animation used in rebels. Would love to see a show that tells a story about a squad of rebel soldiers (cough cough Renegade Squadron) fighting in all the important battles like the evacuation of Yavin, Battle of Hoth(from a soldiers perspective) and how they got the Death Star 2 plans.

The ISD is so imposing next to Venators. What a presence

This imperial I looked so much better than the Star Wars rebels ones. It was great to see, but sad as it's the start of the end of my favourite ship, the venator.

I totally geeked out when the Imperial I showed up in that scene. I am just glad that I wasn't the only one.

I loved this shot so much! It’s the perfect fleet with 1 fortress warship with heavy firepower and 2 fighter carriers

I was saying 'C'mon, be an ISD..."

>in pops an ISD-1 and two Venators

"YES."

I also shows just how much BIGGER ISD's are than the Venators. They're nearly 50% bigger in pretty much every dimension.

Being the obsessive compulsive guy that I am, I’ve always wanted to see the period where republic cruisers and Clone Wars technology were being phased out as Empire transitioned itself into the technology were all accustomed to seeing in the Galactic Civil War era.
