Fun fact: the makeup tip comes from the 3d painters/model finishers, people in vfx industry who are assigned to paint prop models to be used as cgi in movies. One of the most helpful advice when we were texturing 3d models in art school was to look at beauty makeup tutorials to see what product goes where, to hide the natural flaws and make the face appealing to the eye.

Honestly the Ibis paint hack is solid it also allows you to room in on the picture without ruining it and looks super neat. I use it all the time now, but since I use canvas size 3000 x 3000, it always takes 10 minutes to full complete.
