Ultra-processed foods (UPF) may increase the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, heart attacks and strokes, two new studies have found.
Two landmark studies have found an increased risk of high blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes in people who eat the most ultra-processed foods - that's sliced bread, biscuits, ready meals - and even healthier options like cereal and low-fat yoghurt.
