A year ago I was at the dermatologist’s having skin tags removed. I asked her why I had so many and was told it was genetics. I went home and started doing research and one of your videos was the first one I watched. Thus began my YouTube education of which you have been a foremost educator. Now I’m 80lbs lighter, my blood sugar is normal and I’ve weaned myself off Metformin. Thank you so much for the informative content you post every week. It’s changed my health and life for the better.

My skin tags appeared around the time I started gaining weight. Shortly afterward, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. After changing to a carnivore and OMAD lifestyle, I reversed the Type 2 and eventually eliminated it. The skin tags went away shortly thereafter. Had I known the relationship between insulin and skin tags, I could have made the necessary changes much earlier. Thanks for all the good information, Kait! The world will be a better place for everyone because of it!

I began intermittent fasting after following your Instagram account! 6 weeks in and I've lost weight, think more clearly, sleep better, and breathe easier! I have MS and exercise regularly but my nutritionist had me eating every three hours!!! Now I'm an IFer! 1-2 meals per day, no snacks! Thank you Kait!!! ♥️♥️♥️

Thanks Kait ! Great info. My small skin tags disappeared when I went Keto and lost 45lbs. The larger ones disappeared along with age spots, when I did 24hr fasting. I think something called "autophagy" dissolves damaged cells and plaque when your fasting. IMHO, an absolute miracle. FYI I started Keto at 64yro now 70.

Kait, you might find this interesting. About a year before I started a low carb diet I had about 6-8 skin tags. I had heard ( probably on you tube ) that they were caused by low iodine. So I did and experiment on my self. I used tincture of iodine on them once or twice a week. First they stopped itching so I started forgetting. But in about a 3 month period they all disappeared. I am in my 70's and switch my diet to a low carb carnivore late Feb. 2023 with in 2 months I did not need insulin any longer. My doctor was very surprised as I had been using insulin for perhaps 15 - 20 years. My doctor does an A1c on me every 3 months. And my blood test are better except the LDL reading of course.

Yes I gained weight in the last year, and have so many skin tags, just like you said, no one has ever said there was a connection to bl9d sugar

I have skin tags, and I noticed them while in the military overseas. So I believed what what everyone was saying, "it's friction from the gear and uniform." I have had them since then, which is over 12 years now. I have had a doctor tell me to stop eating meat. You and another, Dr. Eric have said insulin intake. When I think about this and my pregnancies, the doctors tell me I am gestational diabetic now this makes since. I haven't really changed this. Recently my doctor put me on a FODMAP diet. Plant based only. I have gained energy and lost a little weight. But no change in skin. I still have some of the same carbs. That is were I need to learn now my carbs and what am I taking in alot of? Thank you for this video.

thank you, never knew the correlation between skin tags & insulin resistance. Have tags, type 2 and overweight. Am now working on weight loss, incorporating intermittent fasting and am sure I am insulin resistant but will have to see one of your videos to see how to determine whether I am or not. Really good stuff here. It is a slow process and the hard part is remaining disciplined and dedicated. Ps: Live in Penna in the middle of Amish country. That dress is so, so Amish(hmmm...maybe Mennonite) looking and with your hair in a bun, you would fit right in 😄 Thank you again.

I've had skin tags since my middle teens; mainly around my neck (which painfully catch on clothing) with a small one in the fold of my right eyelid. It's been a yearly event to have them frozen off for the last 35 years. I was the skinny runt of my family ("Skinny Lynnie"). Type 2 Diabetes is common on both sides of my family. I started putting on weight about 15 years ago (my girls were toddlers) and about 2 years ago my GP was threatening me with meds for Diabetes and Hypertension - he gave me one more month to improve it with diet and exercise, suggesting I try a lower carb diet. Google came in handy - I came across your channel and a few others and binged watched them! Everything was explained so well, I was surprised that it wasn't mainstream. I learned so much. I have lost 90% of my excess weight, decreased my waist down to 82cm, all blood tests are now within normal healthy ranges and my BP is normal as well! If I were younger, I'd probably say that my PCOS improved as well, but that's been circumvented medically since I had my second bub (1st was IVF assisted, 2nd was natural!!). I still have skin tags, maybe I won't get anymore new ones (ask me in a few years, I suppose); but I also have Keratosis Pilaris and really dry and sensitive skin, so there may be another root cause I need to discover. One day.

I have been on keto for several months and the tags were coming off, but I saw that slowing down a little, so I did a 7 day liver and colon cleanse with half a cucumber, celery stick and lime and blended that on an empty stomach and I have seen that reved up again.

I appreciate you however I'm really disappointed in my doctor that I have been seeing for over 20 years. He removed some of my skin tags and the rest has fallen off. Nothing to do with him. For the most part I quit eating regular bread, pastatas & stop eating anything with corn syrup or drinking. I do use some sugars organic. I had a few skin tags burnt off and the rest fell off. . I've also lost 38 pounds no diet eat what I want when I want .It's sad that I had to get this information from YouTube. Thank you!

My skin tags are small, and cluster under my left eye. I first noticed them several years ago. I believe they have grown somewhat since then. I sliced the biggest one off with a razor blade, but since being diagnosed as prediabetic, and having already begun intermittent fasting (16:8), exercising, and reducing my carb consumption, I will monitor them in hopes that the remaining ones disappear, and that I don't get new ones. Thank you.

There's always the exceptions. I don't doubt that prediabetics and diabetics get skin tags, but I am a low carb/keto and sometimes carnivore who has a few skin tags. I have no issues with insulin or prediabetes. I got rid of one skin tag by daily topical applications of iodine (per Eric Berg). The tag shrunk and popped off cleanly after about 3 weeks. I've been taking iodine orally speculating that an iodine deficiency may be part of the problem. I'm still looking for answers.

My mother always had skin tags so when I got them around my neck area, I just thought it was genetic. Nearly 2 years ago after 2 months on keto & a 40 lb weight loss, my skin tags just disappeared, absorbed I would guess and have never come back since.

I’ve had skin tags and discoloration around my neck since I was about 5 years old. The only person to tell me my insulin was high was a obesity management doctor because I was not losing weight.
