This is how it looks in the Rogue Valley on September 9, 2020, the day after the start of the Almeda Fire which began on the outskirts of Ashland, Oregon, reportedly caused by a downed power pole thanks to wind gusts. I am not sure how much contained it is. I had heard firefighters did have it contained. The worst damage was to the towns of Talent and Phoenix, especially the latter.
Update: There is a new fire, this one in Central Point, on the other side of the freeway from where I am, so hopefully that gets contained quickly.
