Path of Almeda Fire in Southern Oregon

Just before noon on September 8, 2020 the Almeda Fire began on the outskirts of Ashland, Oregon. On this windy day, the fire quickly spread northwest along Interstate 5 and Highway 99 towards the cities of Talent and Phoenix. By the next morning, 2,658 properties were destroyed, including 2,489 residential, 165 commercial, and 4 public. As of October 1, 2020, 4 lives have been confirmed lost. This video follows the path of destruction, starting in Ashland, through Talent and Phoenix, and ending on the outskirts of Medford.
