Yes it is.. not much changed since the release when it comes to the target games you can still
Play thousands of games the beauty: old games will continue to play on Linux even better than on windows in the long run.

You did not mention that the 64GB version does not use an SSD, rather its EMMC storage. so its a must to at least get the 256GB version to upgrade the internal storage, aka the SSD.

Steam Deck is definitely the most desktop-like handheld "console", but I think if you really try to use it as an actual desktop replacement, it is quite problematic.

The main issue here is security. Steam Deck desktop mode doesn't really have a password and encryption, there's a 6-digit PIN, but that's just it. Anyone with minimal technical know how can bypass that and get to your files. If you have login sessions on the device, say you're logged into Gmail, someone who stole your Deck can extract the browser cookies out of the Deck; and once someone has access to your email, they would be able to break into almost everything else in your life. This seems like a major oversight from Valve, even when you see Desktop mode primarily as a Desktop gaming mode rather than as a desktop replacement, encryption is pretty important, the Deck is meant to be a semi-mobile device and mobile device can and will get stolen or lost.

Also, the lack of multi-user support on the Desktop mode side means that even if you're using it as a single-user desktop, there's no easy way to partition between your personal workspace and your gaming workspace.

It may be possible to install a lock screen and set up full-disk/home directory encryption, etc manually, but none of these are easy to do for the typical user, and from what I have been reading, without official support from Valve, a lot of these setup might not survive a system update. Unless your desktop replacement requirement is just doing anonymous browsing, it's quite precarious to actually use it as a desktop replacement. IMO, full disk encryption should've been enabled by default and it should be possible to enable password/passphrase protection on Desktop mode, not just a mere 6-digit PIN code.

It's nice to see a homosexual couple making gaming related videos.
