After looking at your videos, I think your Duke Talent Identification Program enrollment played a big factor in your acceptance. It is indeed very impressive.

I love watching college acceptance, etc., videos. Things are so different now then when I applied (way back in the late 90s!) I try to keep up with things as a mom, but also as an educator so I can help guide people in the right direction (granted my students are in 5th!) I noticed you’re from Gulf Breeze, which cracks me up that I somehow ended up on your videos because I live in Pensacola (a northern transplant here!) I hope you’re loving Stanford!

i find all of this information super fascinating. the one thing that really gets me is the privilege or wealth gap that is still so significant when it comes to who ends up being admitted to the ivy league. i've watched many of these college admissions videos and so many talk about having had experiences and summer internships abroad that have provided them with so much opportunity. of course not having the opportunity to do one single thing doesn't disqualify an applicant but it's definitely tough seeing the disparity amongst the different classes. i thought i had good educational opportunities available to me with my school district's career-oriented magnet schools but when you see the charter schools that some of these rich kids are going to, it really is on a whole other level. some of these 'feeder' schools literally send one in twenty students to an ivy league whereas maybe one student from my entire school would be accepted to an ivy. it really is a completely different world in some regions of the country

Congratulations on getting into Stanford. All my life I dreamed of going to Stanford University. I was so happy to get that letter from Stanford University saying that I am on the waitlist ! I work at McDonald’s 🍔🍟 and serve as a pizza delivery person🍕🚗. I know that it’s just a matter of time ! Never give up on your dreams.

I want to do this with my law school application once I graduate in a few years. My school is very competitive so I’m curious to see why they thought I stood out.

lolol it was interesting to see your entire application reduced to the admissions officers' minimal comments and the final comment simply being "one to look at again". like you put so much into this and you seem very smart and talented but to an admissions officer you're still just one of many with great potential

For the q&a about ur first year at stanford, what was it like first entering the campus and meeting people? What was it like to make friends? Do you think the campus feels and holds the prestige that it is held up to after you have been there?

Thanks for being such an inspiration Tulla! Love how you offer such detailed and helpful information. Questions for Q and A:
Biggest advice for high school?
Best advice for applying to college/what you wish you knew before you applied
Which things in high school you did that didn’t at all help the college admissions process and we’re a bit of a waste of time
Best advice for memorization
Best advice for studying
Thanks!

Hello! This is a comment for a Q&A video. I have some questions:
1) What is your major at Stanford?
2) Does Stanford help its students during the pandemic?
