I have that same clock radio!  Seeing all these reviews of this unit and the adapters from you and others (including 8-Bit Eric and AplhaOmegaSin) really make it seem pretty impressive.  I personally don't see the need for SNES on the go, but it's great to see the newer generations of retro consoles stepping up and making some serious better gear.

When it comes to those "adapters" I'm quite disappointed that they rely on composite video. I understand that it's not that big of a deal when you hook it up to a CRT TV but when plugged into more modern HD TVs then composite video just doesn't cut it for me. I was hoping that we might at least get S-Video or RGB since it really makes a difference on HD TVs. Oh well, it's "retro" after all. :3

Thank god i saw this review. I saw 8-bit Eric's review and (i think?) he didn't mention that the retrogen / retro advance doesn't play though the console it's self. I was pretty dead set on getting the retrogen but i think i might have to opt for the real deal... or wait for the retron5.
