ABOUT THIS VIDEO: Measuring CRP (C reactive protein) is a common inflammation test. However, don't rely on it alone; in some situations, it could give a false-positive result. That's why I recommend combining the CRP test with Lp-PLA2, myeloperoxidase, and microalbumin creatinine ratio.

ABOUT DR. BREWER:
Dr. Brewer started as an Emergency Doctor. After seeing too many preventable heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. While there, he went on the run the post-graduate training program (residency) in Preventive Medicine. From there, he made a career of practicing and managing preventive medicine and primary care clinics. His later role in this area was Chief Medical Officer for Premise, which has close to 1,000 primary care/prevention clinics. He was also the Chief Medical Officer for MDLIVE, the second largest telemedicine company. More recently, he founded PrevMed, a heart attack & stroke prevention clinic.

At PrevMed, we focus on heart attack, stroke, and cognitive decline. We serve patients who have already experienced an event as well as those who have not developed a diagnosis or event. Dr. Brewer provides services via telemedicine or in-person if you're in the Lexington, KY area. We find a lot of undiagnosed prediabetes or insulin resistance. Treating unrecognized risk factors like prediabetes allows the reduction of risk and prevention of disease.

Thank you Dr. Brewer for all the information you provide. My last two CRP tests were 20.5 and 21. I'm hoping mainly due to my arthritis in my hip and possible gout. I did sign up for the next webinar and pretty scared to see my test results. But I will keep moving forward.

What about chronic high hsCRP? Like over 30-40? My last hsCRP was 44. Metabolic panel, cholesterol, CBC all normal.

My anxiety is all time high back in mid November while I had covid my Crp was .5 and then mid January it was 10.0 and again tested couple days ago 10.0! I’ve completely changed my diet to combat this and still no change....

I was at the Louisville conference so this was of particular interest to me. In the beginning I could not place the old guy in the interview. About a minute in I realized it was me, shocking! I did not enjoy seeing or hearing myself this way but appreciate the chance to be a movie micro-star. :) Great conference BTW.
Now how do I shrink my prostate, any ideas?

I just got my blood tests back, after a continuing 4 days of high fever and right abdominal pain, and my CRP is at 103.
My GP told me to go the infectious hospital to see what it might be, but she says she suspects it's covid.
I've also had a gray stool, and from all the other symptoms and my not best lifestyle, is it possible this is not covid, but liver damage? I tested negative for covid 4 days ago

Vitamin k2 gets out calcium from artries and from hard plaque too... so it means it is converting hard plaque to soft plaque and causing more risk to heart attack..so why you use vitamin k2 ... Can a person have hard plaque can use vitamin k2.? Will it not convert hard plaque to soft plaque...what is your experience

But What is the accuracy of this test. I'm type 1 diabetic and for 15 years my numbers range from 15-40 MACR up down up down . Hydration levels tamper with the results quite much

There is no microalbumin. There may be small amounts of albumin found in urine but urinary and blood albumin is the same structure.

Couldn't understand ever what is major difference between crp and hs-crp...and why it is said hs-crp is for heart inflammation and crp is for all body inflammation...

I miss the funky old presentations that went into so much depth using peer reviewed articles. It seems like ol' Doc Brewer has moved towards slicker, shorter sound bites.
