0:30 How to lower C-reactive protein

What is C-reactive protein? It’s basically an inflammatory marker in the blood. There is a test you can do to see how much inflammation is in the body through this indicator protein in the blood. It’s a better indicator of heart disease and vascular disease than cholesterol.

It’s important to ask yourself why you have inflammation in your body to begin with. Gluten, the protein in grains, can raise C-reactive protein, and so can high insulin. Frequent eating and a diet high in sugar and refined carbs can raise insulin.

A few things to help lower C-reactive protein:
1. Vitamin C
2. Curcumin
3. Stinging nettle root
4. Vitamin K2
5. Fish oil
6. Coenzyme Q10
7. Decrease gluten
8. Decrease insulin

Dr Berg, you're such a blessing.
I received my CRP blood test today And my CRP is a bit high. After listening to you I felt so much better, because you only explained how to reverse it, but you also give the types of foods a person can eat to reduce the inflammation, and also the supplements.
I am following your keto regime and am beginning to see results, its slow, but am sure I'll get the results I aim for eventually.
I live in the UK, am a retired nurse. I love your videos, I folliw most of the them, they're very informative, straight forward and on point. Just awesome !!!. Thank you sir.

CRP is NON-specific. It can be any viral, bacterial infection or inflammation or injury. Not just heart disease.

Hi Dr. Berg. I recently had a CRP test and it had shot through the roof compared to previous tests. Thinking about what haf changed, and going on a hunch, I found several studies on Pubmed which corelated high CRP and sleep deprivation. Take a look at that and you may want to discuss that in future discussions on lowering CRP :) :)

I've never heard of this before, ever. Thanks for helping. Please continue to make more videos. The Sugar and Pharmacy conglomerates have the world so blind.

I needed to know this because the information doctors give you is confuse. My CRP (PCR in spanish) is very high (21.2 of a 1 to 3 Range) and the two doctors I visit said I have to loose 60 pounds. So one of them gave me a diet of five meals a day, sometimes with sandwich and a glass of juice for dinner. A week ago I found one of your videos and I'm on the third day of fasting to loose wait but not knowing it will low my crp levels too. So thanks a lot for the video.

Thank you Dr Berg!
For approximately a year and a half now...after finding out my CRP was 3.6 (I hear it should be at 1) I began eating approximately 9 cups of leafy greens and Raw vegetables a day. I exercise 4 to 6 times a week keeping my heart rate at 125 for 25 minutes, My proteins are wild caught salmon grass fed beef.. hormone free free range chicken. Due to a family history of Alzheimer’s & heart disease (Father died at age 44 heart disease ) I dropped all gluten and most starches and sugar a year and a half ago. I intermittent fast...and do from time to time fall into ketosis. I’m 60 years of age (female) and I do not carry Apoe4 gene. Neither did my mother carry the gene for Alzheimer’s, she went on to get Alzheimer’s disease at age 67. Her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at age 67 as well. (I’m thinking a toxin that passed the blood brain barrier...possibly through the placenta while my mom was in utero. 🤷‍♀️
I take to tumeric daily in my drinks with water and apple cider vinegar. I take sublingual vitamin D3 with K2 every day, 1400 mg of vitamin C liposomal. CoQ10 400 mg a day. My morning blood glucose is usually in the lower 80s. I just re-tested my CRP and it is now 6.59. Darn...I will test again in another few months I’m not sure what to do to see if I can change the outcome of that score. I had pulled back on my omega threes lately (chitchat out on the Internet talking about trying to get omega-3‘s naturally instead of through supplements) and will increase the CoQ10. I will also add the stinging nettle.

Love love love your Thank you soooo much! I’ll watch your commercials and give you a thumbs up... I’ve already subscribed!

Turmeric is oil soluble so you want to cook it in oil, or mix it in oil first. Otherwise it breaks down quickly in the stomach.

Good info. Mine always comes back elevated and I have been gluten free for 7 years and consume very little sugar and do not snack. Did not know about the Vitamin C part. I definitely don't get enough veggies in. Not so much about not liking them rather the effort/time in cleaning, slicing, dicing, cooking and cleaning. Need to make more of an effort I guess. Assuming a green drink won't suffice?!

Grains are a problem. Eating bread makes my leg swell to huge proportions. And eating outside the house. I use pink and grey salt, no problem.

Thank you for the information- I just found out today that my C reactive protein is 13.8.  Doctor told me to take 2- 1000 mg of vitamin C daily, also  no more red meats.

I wish CRP was as simple as you explained it but unfortunately, there is a lot more to this story not to mention the genetic variances involved.

I probably have never been in ketosis, but am on a high fat, low carb diet and it keeps my weight steady. After listening to this video I'm going to be more diligent with gluten and not have it. I only eat 2 meals a day and would like to change to OMD soon. II also have 6 or 8 supplements day. I always feel good the next day, noticeable if I forgot a few days.
