I started ozempic a month ago and now I have vision loss in my left eye. I got extremely sick with ozempic I told my diabetic RN and she took me off of it saying I didn't tolerate it.

I feel my vision loss is connected with ozempic.

My husband had great vision despite dealing with diabetes for the past 18 years. 4 months on ozempic and he developed diabetic retinopathy which resulted in a shot in his eye every 3 months for 2 years. All the other side effects of ozempic went away within three months of going off of it. His vision never returned to normal after ozempic . So good to hear you speaking out on this.

My cardiologist wanted to prescribe me Wegovy. This scares me. I’m not going to take this medicine. I just need to get my fat ass to the gym and eat more vegetables.

🤔Interesting. I too am hearing about this medication a lot without hearing about this possible side effect.

Thank you. This was very helpful and eased my concern about this side effect of Ozempic.

Thank you Dr. Rupa, your videos are so interesting. Is that why they say your eyes will get worse before they get better once you start to get your sugar under control?

The thing is does this cause the diabetic retinopathy if you're not diabetic? I ask because I already have retina issues (unrelated).

Can you make a lash extension video on Lilac St. products, regarding the ingredient and overall and safety; similar to the videos you did on the lashify and falscara lashes?

Hi Rupa,
A very interesting, "diet review". I was not aware of these effects - on the retina.
Your helping your own three children with, "off label", prevention of myopia - impresses me the most.
You are the first two ophthalmologists who are helping their own children in this way.
I completely support this science - based concept.

Ozempic caused my retina vein occlusion (eye stroke). I will never touch Ozempic again

Every drug has negative affects and one of the side affects of taking OZEMPIC is severe damage to the blood vessel of the eyes it's not easy to loose any amount of weight and keep it off for the rest of your life but loosing your eye sight is something nobody wants or deserves just to become healthier.Ask yourself does the benefits outweigh the risk ?

I have significant blurry vision after three doses of Ozempic. Went to ophthalmologist vision change was 20/40 to 20/60. Corrective lenses helped very little. That was two months ago and vision hasn’t improved. I also take a high dose of gabapentin. I quit take the ozempic, but wonder if I could go back on it. I am 50 pounds overweight and have.high cholesterol. The vision issue has a high impact on my life. Any thoughts. Thank you.
