Omg I can't believe y'all missed the "come and go without being seen" = anonymity connection! In the first movie, when Mr Incredible had dinner with Mirage, she said that her employer didn't show up because he preferred anonymity...that's the first thing that came to my mind when Mr Incredible said that the house's previous owner didn't like to be seen. So yeah, the architecture is related to that, but not specific to it, as the entrances-hidden-in-nature thing could just be an aesthetic.
