I remember watching this when i was 8 years old in 2005. Not knowing what was happening and just waiting for more action. And now that i am rewatching this at 21 years old i finally get what really happened, Understanding every word of this montage scene.

I never understood this scene as a kid but now that I'm watching it as an adult, I understand it and I find it very weird that people would rather die than be saved. Forget about the guy who attempted suicide, the people in the train who were probably just commuting from home to work would have rather died than being saved. Wow. Sure they were injured, but they would have died if Mr. Incredible didn't stop the train which would have been worse. This movie accurately depicts how far humanity's stupidity can go and it's scary because we see the same concept happen in real life.

Rewatched this for the first time in ages and was pretty surprised that they literally say the words “attempted suicide”. I remembered it as being obviously implied but never outright stated.

Gotta hand it to Pixar, they know that fun kids movies don’t need to be sugarcoated and censored all the way through and that to do so would be insulting the audience, kids included. But on the other hand they’re never edgy or grimdark or vulgar for no reason.

It’s part of why I can watch these movies 10+ years later and realize that they’re actually even better than I remember.

Since superheroes are being outlawed, they never bothered to explain how supervillains are dealt with by the government.

The L train accident wasn't his Mr. Incredible's fault, it was Buddy's.

[Registration act quotes:]

"I think you take this vigilante stuff too seriously. Since the Keene Act was passed in '77 only the government-sponsored weirdos are active. They don't interfere." - Watchmen. (1986).

"Ladies and gentlemen, the truth is that mutants are very real, and that they are among us. We must know who they are, and above all, what can they do!" - X-Men. (2000)

"In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually they will hate you." - Spider-Man. (2002)

"Let the record show that this committee holds him responsible." - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. (2016)

"For the past four years, you operated with unlimited power and no supervision. That's an arrangement the governments of the world can no longer tolerate. But I think we have a solution. The Sokovia Accords. Approved by 117 countries, it states that the Avengers shall no longer be a private organization. Instead, they'll operate under the supervision of a United Nations panel, only when and if that panel deems it necessary." - Captain America: Civil War. (2016)

Here's to honor from those out there, from the glory days during the Golden, Silver, Bronze, Morden and Dark Ages.

This movie always scared me for these reasons:
Syndrome hair and face
Bomb voyage
Oliver sansweet
The midget boss
The teacher
The underminer
And I still got a little freaked out 🤣

I blame Oliver Sansweet for shutting down the super heroes. I also blame the politicians.

You know what Pat? I definitely remember watching The Incredibles when I was 2 years old in 2004 & 3 years old in 2005. In fact, that’s the greatest super hero movie ever from Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios. That’s because in the Montage Reference scene from The Incredibles was the best scene ever when the reporter talked about super heroes where they’re continuing to make the word a better place for the good people of Municiberg.

Director: we have to figure out a way that mr. Incredible could be there when Bomb voyage was blowing the place up....
Random guy: how about someone tries to commit suicide but Mr Incredible saves him!
Director: I smell a PG movie
