I agree--when I was young and had boyfriends I was intimate with--my heart and soul were impacted. I was never someone who could be casual in that way, but felt it was expected of me, and I carry scars from that to this day. I cannot tell a person what they can or cannot do in this regard, but I can say that every person you allow into your space stays with you forever, and you should choose carefully.

The speech about longing for physical contact just resonated with me. Even today and being married--I want to feel a romantic touching connection. I was molested as a girl, but I had no physical bond with my mother or dad. It made me spiritually confused and in many ways, I want to break free of the prison of that need because I know it does not serve me. I have always had monogamous relationships but they were also highly sexual--I felt it completed the union--I just wonder if there is a way not to desire that so much.
