CHOPIN Etude op 10 no 11 by concert pianist Stéphanie ELBAZ
This Frederic Chopin etude op 10 n 11 in E flat major is a study for solo piano, which was first published in 1833. This etude is also identified by the expression “Arpeggio”, in reference to the fact that both hands have to play large rolled chords throughout the piece. Thanks to these repeated arpeggiated chords, the auditor has the impression of being immersed into a marvellous world, where the piano would not sound as usual but like a magical instrument that is also capable of depicting harp and guitar. This allegretto study reflects all of Chopin’s genius, who once again managed to create a plaintive, beautiful and poetical melody with solely a very basic structure.

This is one of the most beautiful yet often slept on etudes that Chopin ever wrote! Her phrasing and choices are very nice! Awesome job! You made me want to start this piece!
