There aren't many sacrifices when you're getting it at £379 lmao. Bezels are a little chunky but you don't notice after using it for a day, and the charging speed is fine cuz you can charge it overnight and it'll last you the day with moderate use (listening to music through Pixel Buds all day, some messing, some social media, and occasional bit of Google Maps)

I got my Pixel 8a in bay blue for $399 at BestBuy black friday deal. For me its a no brainer, I could have easily gotten the pixel 9 but I rather save the money and I love the design/colour of my Pixel 8a 😊

I had the 8pro, don't get me wrong it's a great phone, but I LOVE THE 8a, I just switched today. I love how much smaller it is than the 8pro. The bezels are present but other than that, the 8a is perfect. I recommend this phone to anyone. Also the 7 years worth of updates!!! You can't beat it

When I upgraded from the 6a to the 8a I got the 8a for $339, it would've been $305 if I didn't spring for the 2 day shipping

I am a Pixel 6 user, and I don't feel the generation difference as much because I use GrapheneOS - a privacy/security oriented os that doesn't have most of the pixel exclusives (except the camera!). I'm waiting for the Pixel 10 and then I'll switch!

The only problem with the Pixel 8a is that it still uses 18W fast charging, like what? Other smartphones with the same price as the Pixel 8a can get better fast charging with higher Watts.

Nailed it. I will save that I didn't notice the modem from 8 pro to 9 xl, so the 9a might be amazing if you're solely looking at the "a" series. XL or nothing for me though!

I have a pixel 7a ( by choice) I honestly can't fault it . I prefer it over my pixel 6 pro. I've seen brand new pixel 8pros on sale for half the cost of the original device. To me the 8pro would probably make more sense financially, plus it still has plenty more OS and security updates to come . I'll most likely wait for the 9a or pixel 10. Pixels have never been strong performers, but do work very well from my experience.
