This error is usually caused by either a corrupt operating system file or a system file which has been replaced. To fix this error insert the windows 10 install DVD in to your drive and reboot your machine and boot to the media.

First run the command prompt and type in "chkdsk C: /r /f" with out the " and hit enter, Then reboot your machine and the 0xc00000e BSOD error should be resolved.

If not insert the windows 10 DVD again and boot to the recover menu and run the startup repair.

If that doesnt fix the issue run the command prompt again and run the command "bootrec /fixmbr"

Brand new build. 1TB M.2, 32 GB RAM, Windows 10, Asus Hero XI w/ fresh BIOS update. I tried all of the steps and I’m still getting error. It’s only when I open the BIOS and restart from there that I can get all the way to the desktop. However the last time I did, I did a manual Windows update and then was greeted with a BSOD Stop code: MEMORY MANAGEMENT message. Now what?

Hey,
It didn't work for me :/ for the first command it said, it can't run the command because the system drive is write-protected. I've run the other two solutions and the boot recovery didn't work as well. I've been claiming this blue screen since I've installed windows 10 x64 on my new Transcend SSD. I've reinstalled once the system and I'm still claiming the problem. I can run the windows by pressing escape on the blue screen, then it puts me into the BIOS and when I leave, the system strats and everything is working. Also, I claim that the laptop is giving me that it runs UEFI but it has BIOS (I don't really know this part of PCs/LapTops). Also, Transcend says, this SSD isn't compatible with my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54, but the laptop finds it, I could install windows on it. Should I look for a new SSD then? Or can you help me with a brilliant solution?
I would be thankful if you had answered me.

Hi, tried installing win10 via USB on another HDD (HDD A) on my computer after the new HDD has successfully installed (I preparing HDD A to pass on to my friend who having OS issues) . I cannot access my own HDD, it give Error Code BSOD.
1) chk dsk /r /f - No bad sectors or clusters
2) bootrec /fixmbr - The system cannot find the file specified.
I suspect there is some boot record need to point back to my HDD instead of HDD A.

No idea why the simple chkdsk command was the fix. I encountered the error building a machine from scratch. Thanks for the quick fix.

Hello, I just started getting this message today. I've followed through your directions and no go. Still receiving the error message. Only change to my computer was a week ago with a new video card. But its been working for the last week including playing games like PUBG and Star Wars Battlefront 2.

I just restarted today and it hung up on the splash screen, hit restart and thats when I started getting this message.
