The fact that this episode was supposed to be the original season 3 finale makes this so much funnier 😂😂😂

As someone who is biracial, named Aaron, and living in the South… This episode hit extremely close to home. Donald Glover and co is a legit genius.

The girl's chuckle told everything Aaron needed to hear.

People are saying the new blaccent and brushing his hair ( he'll never have waves) shows him embracing his black heritage. I think Donald Glover solidified Aaron's blackness or identity as a black man when he said " I've never been more attracted to you (white woman)" hahaha That warranted a freeze frame!

As a Lightskin I have never related to an episode more than this one. Also that ending had me crying from my laughter.

That freeze frame at the end feels straight out of a 90’s tv show or movie lmao

This episode had so many references to actual Atlanta, that was missed too. From White Grady (Grady is known as the hospital for poor black people), threatening Aaron with taking the MARTA, the public transportation line for the city, typically riddin by the working class black population; also Cobb County, one of the whitest counties petitioned not to have Marta built up to its County afraid it would bring more blacks into the area. Lithonia, where the Nigerian kid said he was from is a heavily black populated area of Georgia. Lastly, taking down the name of Stonewall Jackson, the confederate leader is reminiscent of Stone Mountain park. The side of the mountain has a carving of Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee (not S), and President of the confederate states, Jefferson Davis. For years, people have unsuccessfully petitioned to have the carving removed from the side of the mountain, but to this day it's still there showing its embarrassing confederate glory. Also, I believe Donald Glover is from the stone mountain area.

A little too realistic with how things are here in Atlanta. Aaron rejected who he was until he saw it benefited him. And frighteningly real with how his friends responded to the scholarship. You encounter a lot of people mad because they feel black scholarships are reverse racist, and even have politicians working hard at removing such programs and now even our history. In college I heard a lot of those comments about minority universities, programs etc. and regardless of how much you try to educate white people on why such programs are NEEDED they still don't like it.
