"How'd that make you feel?"

The therapist is the guy that narrates FX's commercials, trailers, and content warnings for Atlanta.

That "we're supposed to be friends" is heart shattering.

This is one of the best depictions of therapy I've ever seen in a movie/show. Too often it's played out as a joke that it doesn't work, so it's great to see a therapist character that genuinely cares

That long awaited Princeton story. The black and black connection. Anybody notice he actually started to be personal with Earn? This show is underrated and extremely powerful

Fact that they got "real close fast" makes me think Sasha had herself in the friend-zone and wanted unjustified revenge after Earn's crush invited him to the party.

I like how this episode starts without seeing the therapists face, but as Earn opens up to him the camera includes both of them in the same shot and are physically closer to each other.

The Princeton story ended up being more revealing about Earn's character than we all thought. It makes sense why earn flipped out the way he did in North of the border too. Something rightfully his trapped behind a dorm door making him feel subconsciously powerless due to a past trauma.

and the brief mention of earns implied SA never being brought up again has so much lasting impact after spending 3 seasons with them

can't wait to see what else gets put into clearer context.

Donald Glover deserves an Emmy for this scene alone.

Fantastic scene and phenomenal acting by Donald here. So good to get more backstory from him too.

Man, when Earn started tearing up i felt that.
Nothing about it seemed fake. Bro was holding that in for a long time.

im not gonna act like this scene changed my entire idea of therapy but it made me willing to at least try it. I've probably wasted money on dumber stuff even if it turns out I hate it.

The writing in all of Atlanta is so elite.. with this episode giving Earn more depth and putting things in more perspective, but ending the episode with absurdist comedy is what makes Atlanta soooo good lol

I love how he’s the promo voice of Atlanta

Giving a notice before you enter someones place is always a good idea. But it's also pretty understandable why he didn't.
He thought they were friends. He was comfortable and didn't think he needed to be cautious. He was entering for a specific purpose that she knew about and he thought she would understand. He thought they shared a level of trust that she clearly didn't have for him.
Instead of resolving the issue with Earn personally, Sasha decided to be a coward, getting the dean involved Instead, as well as framing the incident in the worst possible light.

I wanna see more people talking about the therapist in this episode, I thought the actor was great and really seemed to connect with earn better than anyone else in the show in my opinion (I do understand that's his job in my opinion)

That story though was so messed up. I think that RA chick was intentionally keeping the suit from him, trying to mess him up somehow, like to make sure he didn't get the job and she got mad when Earn got around her and so she tried to have him suspended. Sneaky racists be like that.

It is a hard lesson to learn, finding out that the people you care so much about don’t care nothing about you or your problems.

Donald’s acting and storytelling in this episode was insane, I couldn’t look away
