One thing I'm surprised you didn't mention about the cutscene is that in this game Mega Man loses his charged shot when he gets hit, and he clearly doesn't lose his charge when he takes the (fake) hit from Dark Man.

31:15 Excuse me, Ms. Gamerchamp, but if you’ve ever read the manga for the Rockman series which is confirmed to be canon to the original games, we see multiple instances of Blues and Wily being in the *same room!* The Blues that we see simply cannot be Dr. Wily! It’s impossible!

*CLEARLY, * the Dr. Wily we see in Rockman 5 is the evil alien robotic zombie *CLONE* of Blues who was created from the remains of the original Dr. Wily after his demise in Rockman 3. Unbeknownst to Blues, Kalinka had secretly linked Blues to the Necronomicon’s ritual to resurrect Dr. Wily, fusing Wily’s makeup with a portion of Blues’s!

The real Blues would never betray us! This Blues taking the form of Dr. Wily is merely some *fake clone!* Your theory of Blues and Dr. Wily being one and the same is understandable at first glance, but with proper reading, is demonstrably and semantically untrue!
