Nano textures is not good for those who use laptops in their room or mostly at night time or even indoors. You will get crips color and clear text with standard glass.

I can't decide if I want the nano-texture or not. I haven't really dealt with many reflections with my 2018 MBP. I just don't want to miss out on this screen if it's that great. I'm worried about out in the elements outside and such and the maintenance of keeping it clean vs the standard screen. I don't want the text or images to be fuzzy on the corners.

*1. **3:07** is a good enough reason NOT to get the Black Colour. It looks so bad with the silver showing with all those scratches. 2. You should have used the same wallpaper to compare the displays. 3. Other YouTuber's have said that the Nano-Texture display reduces the inky black a little bit and the colours look washed out when editing videos and photos.*

You say you prefer the standard glass. What is the reasoning behind? Do you notice better sharpness and contrast compared to the nano texture?

If you get the higher cpu counts of the M4 Pro then you essentially can compare to the M1 Max model with 32 gpu cores. It will beat it out in CPU but just barely lose out against Graphics... damn nice equivilent if you ask me. I'll be trying to compare the two when mine arrives.

I picked up the 11 inch M4 nano screened iPad two days ago. I enjoy not having to worry about reflections with the screen. When I would speak at podiums, I was always trying to manipulate my standard screen iPad to avoid the stage light reflections on the screen. You do give up a little bit of sharpness, but it more than makes up for it when you can take your iPad anywhere, sit by a window, sit under lights coming in from any angle and generally go about business without having to worry about reflections which are unavoidable and will at times be totally distracting. Have you ever tried to show someone standing next to you a video or picture on your device and found it difficult to get them to see the screen because of not getting the screen angle just right for them to see because of reflections - no more. I’m writing comment this with a lamp above my right shoulder which would totally be reflected in my old iPad, but it doesn’t even show up on the nano screen. Not to mention the way my fingers glide on the screen surface without ever stopping or sticking at all. The surface is like Teflon to the touch. Wonderful. None of these things possible with standard screen. Food for thought. All the best.

I think having a base m4 on MacBook Pro is fine, for those who just need the extra ports as the air doesn’t have an hdmi or sd card reader

Is the nano texture a better option than just getting a regular display and matte screen protector?

Fellow Canadian Videographer here! :D I pre-ordered the base M4 Pro MBP with the 96W power adapter. Switching from an Intel-based 2017 MacBook Air (8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, so complete base specs) and I'm so excited to pick mine up!! I hope it actually comes tomorrow on release day!
