Removing the Battery on a Ford Transit

In this video we show how to remove the battery on a 2015 Ford Transit. The battery is located underneath the driver seat and requires several simple steps to obtain access to the battery and remove it.

Excellent video! I understand wanting to be safe with the negative terminal, but it wasn't really necessary to tape it up. Once disconnected, there is no reference to the battery ground post. Again, great video! Thank you!!

Thanks for the Vid! I bought my Transit back in 2015 and it still has the original battery in it. The reason for it lasting '8 YEARS' is because it's NOT in the engine compartment going thru the EXTREME ENGINE HEAT CYCLES which is detrimental to the battery's longevity. Batteries last between 3 to 5 years when placed in the engine compartment.

wonderful! since i have a metal partition right behind the seats this would go from huge pain in the ass to virtually impossible....thank you Ford! I did at least leaern today where the negative terminal is under the hood - pure crazy again!

Since mine has 2 batteries, 3.2 diesel, no room to rotate battery. I am on my own on that part. The battery saver part means the electrical system is never off when engine is off.

I used to connect my 12-volt shop lights or my temporary not permanently installed inverter directly to my battery. I'm assuming I should be able to connect them at the post used for jump starting
